Dragonfly Pond Works, an environmental services firm specializing in lake and pond management and serving clients in the southeast and mid-Atlantic regions, has named Bryan Wallace branch manager for western North Carolina.
"Based in Charlotte, Bryan is in charge of identifying new opportunities in Charlotte and west of the Triangle, including upper South Carolina and into the mountains, including Asheville and Hendersonville and beyond," said Dragonfly Pond Works CEO and President Mick Ribault. "Bryan has the hands-on leadership to grow the company in this highly competitive market. He also has the technical chops to facilitate lake and pond management and treatment solutions for wetlands, storm water facilities and other aquatic systems."
A licensed landscape contractor, Wallace joins Dragonfly from Foster Lake & Pond Management Inc., where, since 2000, he has been an account manager for aquatic systems maintenance projects across North Carolina. In 2008, he was stationed in Charlotte, N.C., after which he focused on the western part of the state. Before that role, he served with Jay Carter and Associates, and his work included environmental impact assessment, wetlands reclamation and breeding surveys of the endangered red-cockaded woodpecker.
Wallace attended Central Piedmont Community College and North Carolina State University (NCSU). He is certified by NCSU in stormwater BMP (best management practices) inspection and maintenance.
Dragonfly, which is headquartered in a suburb of Raleigh, N.C., currently operates in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland.
