The StormPrism EQ underground stormwater storage system can be configured as detention, retention, or infiltration. When it comes to infiltration, there are 2 choices: infiltrate straight through the floor into the rock base or divert collected stormwater into a series of drywells located nearby. Using drywells can greatly improve the infiltration performance of a stormwater capture system because they can go deeper to engage more permeable soils and increase the head pressure that drives water into the vadose zone.
