The Plastics Pipe Institute, Inc. (PPI) announced that submissions for its Project of the Year program are now being accepted, and that the deadline has been extended to March 30, 2023.
PPI is a North American trade association representing the plastic pipe industry. Each PPI division will present the award to its winning member company at the PPI annual membership meeting that will be held in Maui, Hawaii in May. Submissions are reviewed, evaluated and voted upon by the PPI members.
“This is a time-honored and highly anticipated event,” said David M. Fink, PPI President. “For nearly 15 years it has showcased exceptional projects as a way of fulfilling PPI’s goal to educate the industry on the benefits that plastic pipe can bring to a project. We believe that plastic pipe is a solution to many of the infrastructure problems facing our world today, and we know our members will be submitting some great projects that explain the solutions to these problems.”
PPI divisions are Building & Construction, Drainage, Energy Piping Systems, Municipal & Industrial, and Power & Communications.
“After every award event we hear from the presidents of the winning companies that having one of their pipe systems named Project of the Year by their peers is high praise indeed,” Fink elaborated. “Not only does it increase awareness for their company and products, it provides a platform for educating the industry. Even companies that have won a number of times continue to nominate their best and most interesting projects.”
