The Sutter Butte Flood Control Agency has awarded a contract to Parsons Brinckerhoff to provide project management and construction-phase services for a levee improvement project in Sutter and Butte counties in California.
The Feather River West Levee Project Area C project involves regrading of levees and construction of soil bentonite slurry walls. Additional work will include wet and dry utility relocations, irrigation ditch relocations, new pump stations and roadway reconstruction.
Under its contract, Parsons Brinckerhoff will provide comprehensive project management, resident engineering and construction inspection services. The firm will also be responsible for constructability reviews.
Construction is scheduled for completion in December 2014.
