Next month, IE expo will open its gates at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). For the first time ever, the number of exhibitors is approaching the 1,000 mark. The show will occupy a total of 55,000 sq meters of exhibition space. Among other things, this growth is due to an increase in the number of participants in the sectors for air purification, refuse disposal and recycling. This environmental technology trade fair will be held May 6 to 8, 2015.
IE expo's exhibitors include companies such as Aerzen International Trading (Shanghai), BioMintec Environment (Shanghai), Eriez Magnetics (Tianjin), Gardner Denver Machinery (Shanghai), Grundfos Pumps (Shanghai), Huber Environmental Technology (Taicang), Siemens (China), Wilo China and Xylem (China). A large number of new exhibitors such as Cambi, Praxair (China) Investment and Remondis Group have also registered.
The fair will feature a total of nine country pavilions, representing Austria, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Taiwan and the U.S. The following five organizations and institutions will host joint exhibition stands: the China Environmental Chamber of Commerce, the Yixing International Environmental Protection Zone, the Nanjing Environmental Protection Industry Assn., the Air Purifier Industry Alliance of China and the World Economic Forum.
Participants can expect a diverse range of lectures and panel discussions in the supporting program of this year's IE expo. As in previous years, the annual meeting of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES), which is part of the IE expo Summit Forum, will be held on the first two days of the fair. It is co-organized by the China Environment Chamber of Commerce (CECC).
The German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA, Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V.) will hold its program of technical and scientific conferences, which runs during the entire fair. Organized in conjunction with the National Engineering Research Center for Urban Pollution Control, topics will include "Resource Recycling and Utilization," "Storm-water Management Planning and Design," "Sponge City Construction" and "Sewer Inspection, Cleaning and Rehabilitation."
Other events in the supporting program include the 2nd Sustainable Solid Waste Management Conference for Resource Recovery on May 6 and 7 and the 2015 International Forum & Exhibition on Contaminated Site Remediation on May 7 and 8.
In conjunction with the Shanghai City of Government and the Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureau, the Conference of The Third Party Governance in Environmental Pollution Control will be held on the second day of the fair. The conference gives service providers in the environmental sector and government leaders a chance to exchange ideas and solutions for future environmental-protection matters.
The IE expo 2015 Innovation Pavilion and Exchange Symposium is also new. It is being organized by the CSES and the CECC with support from Tsinghua University and Tongji University. On the first two days of the fair, it will give investors, end consumers and suppliers of innovative environmental technologies in all exhibition segments a platform for a business exchange.
