It's never fun to actually have a problem, but few things are as satisfying as solving a particularly tricky one; just ask fans of the Rubik's Cube.
Case studies are a great way of learning how others may have solved the same challenges that you come across every day. SWS is your source for both print and digital case studies; with tools like the annual Case Book and electronic Case Study Alerts, we are committed to keeping you apprised of ingenious ways to solve standard industry problems.
Another tool for learning about new ways to solve old problems is the Top Projects program. Each year, the editorial board chooses the 10 best-of-the-best based on challenges overcome, unique site constraints or circumstances, and innovative techniques used, and winners receive recognition in the November/December issue.
If you've been thinking about submitting a Top Project, this is your last chance: Nominations close this Friday, Sept. 12.
Tell us how you solved your puzzle, be it by building a new facility, upgrading current infrastructure, or helping a municipality or business with its storm water and erosion control needs. Nominate your project here.
