Submit Presentation Proposals for Municipal Wet Weather Stormwater Conference

The conference takes places June 15-16 in Atlanta, Ga. Proposals are due March 13

The EPA Region 4 and the Southeast Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) are hosting the second annual Municipal Wet Weather Stormwater Conference. Presentations will inform and educate MS4 operators, consultants, contractors and others practicing in the field of storm water management, storm water quality, and erosion and sediment control. The conference will be held June 15-16, 2015 at the Holiday Inn-Atlanta Perimeter. View more details about the event or download a flyer.  

Requested Presentation Topics:
Presentation(s) should include, but not limited to one or more of the following conference topics. Each presentation will be limited to 30 minutes unless approved in advance by IECA for a longer time frame:

  • Integrated or Watershed based Permitting;
  • Sustainable Development, LID and Green Infrastructure;
  • TMDLs and Watershed Implementation Plans;
  • Stormwater Funding;
  • Legal, Ordinances and Regulations;
  • Storm water Management Program and Training;
  • Public Education and Outreach;
  • Erosion and Sediment Control Practices on Construction Sites;
  • Evaluation of Storm water Practices and Devices;
  • Inspection Methods and Technologies;
  • Stream Evaluation, Restoration, and Monitoring;
  • Watershed Modeling and
  • Water Quality Landscaping.

Presentations are selected based on the following criteria: 

  • Appeal of the subject matter;
  • Technical merit;
  • Originality of content and materials;
  • Quality of content addressing multiple levels of expertise;
  • Demonstration of useful tools to implement in the MS4 environment;
  • Creative ideas for regulators; and
  • Only educational content should be submitted for consideration. 

No abstracts will be accepted if they include marketing material or content. The deadline for abstracts is March 13, 2014. Presentations should not exceed 30 minutes (including time for introductions and evaluations). Longer presentations may be allowed if prior approval is obtained from IECA.
