As a sustainable drainage system, the d-Rain Joint 6061-T6 (aluminum) and PPIC (grey plastic) rainwater filter drain installs like a standard expansion joint used in concrete surfaces. Providing an ADA-compliant filtered gap to keep debris from entering the channel, the joint allows surface water to flow through at 2 to 5 gal/minute/linear ft to a subsurface drainage bed. The PPIC version can doubled up to increase drainage height to match higher traffic-loading requirements from 4-in. to 6-in. or 8-in. thickness pavements.
