Texas embarks on first flood planning process

Following extreme flooding, especially after Hurricane Harvey, Texas began the flood planning process.

Reem Zoun, assistant deputy executive administrator at the Texas Water Development Board, and Scott Hubley, vice president with Freese and Nichols, discuss their work on Texas’ first flood planning process. The two provide an overview of why this process became necessary, discuss the collaboration process and how extreme weather events are playing a role in flood planning and more.
