Storm water seminar offers education, opportunity to earn PDH credits
For the third-straight year, the National Precast Concrete Assn. will offer a one-day storm water seminar addressing local storm water issues and solutions. This year’s event, Taking Raleigh by Storm(water), will be held Friday, Nov. 14, at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center in Raleigh, N.C. The event is geared toward engineers, regulators, compliance specialists, land surveyors, design engineers, consultants and academics working within the storm water industry. Featuring a variety of expert speakers, the seminar’s primary objective is to help industry professionals better understand local codes and regulations. Additionally, seminar attendees will be introduced to tools and materials that enable cost-effective solutions to storm water issues. Intensive education courses covering a range of topics, including the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s new highway storm water program and the state’s new approach to low-impact development, will provide seminar attendees with the chance to earn up to four PDH credits. Each course will also address the many benefits of precast concrete products in design and construction today. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other industry professionals in the exhibit hall, which will remain open throughout the event. Registration for the seminar, which includes lunch, is $99.
