Kruger to Supply Filter for Florida Project

The system is expected to be operational during the spring of 2016

Kruger Inc., a Veolia business unit specialized in water treatment solutions, was awarded a contract to furnish a Hydrotech Discfilter system for the Port Orange Reclaimed Water Reservoir and Filtration Project located in Port Orange, Fla.

The Port Orange Reclaimed Water Reservoir and Filtration Project is upgrading its treatment capabilities, especially the ability to treat storm water to reuse standards. Kruger will provide one Hydrotech Discfilter unit with a controls system, mobile automated cleaning system (ACS) and two slow speed mechanical mixers. The system is designed to treat storm water to reuse standards by filtering a peak flow of 2 million gal per day and provide effluent with total suspended solids ≤ 5mg/L.

The Hydrotech Discfilter was selected largely based on Kruger’s successful installation of their filtration application at a nearby site in Port Orange. Kruger’s technology, competitive pricing, customer service and extensive installation base across the U.S were also important factors in Port Orange’s decision. The system is expected to be operational during the spring of 2016.
