Retrofit Applications

The East Basin detention pond at the University of South Florida was retrofitted with a Thirsty Duck ER 200 floating outlet and skimmer. The flood control volume in the East Basin was reduced enough to generate a sizeable increase in the BMP volume. The retrofit provided an additional 2.3 acres of developable directly connected impervious area and satisfy a nutrient total maximum daily load limit for Cypress Creek.
