Hydrograph Comparison

When comparing a traditional weir/orifice and Thirsty Duck floating outlet and skimmer, observe the time the maximum allowable outflow rate is achieved and the length of time discharging at this rate. In a traditional weir/orifice, the maximum allowable outflow rate cannot occur until the stormwater pond/vault facility is at design high water. With a Thirsty Duck floating outlet and skimmer, the maximum outflow rate is achieved sooner and held nearly constant for an extended time.
