Hydrotech Releases Garden Roof Planning Guide

American Hydrotech announced the availability of the fourth edition of the company’s Garden Roof Planning Guide. Available in print, online and app format, the guide is an educational tool for architects, facility management, building owners, installers and contractors on the latest technology, applications and benefits of vegetative roofs. It will be unveiled at Booth 839 at the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Annual Meeting and Expo held Oct. 19 to 22 in Philadelphia.

The fourth edition of the Garden Roof Planning Guide has expanded to more than 82 pages, including information on the latest environmental and structural challenges facing building and design professionals across the globe. It also includes an expanded section with new and innovative rooftop solutions for significant storm water management as well as a number of other industry resources for professionals to explore. Content and imagery is organized in easy-to-read sections that explore the latest technology and materials, design considerations, installation and maintenance perspectives.

Innovyze Appoints Chief Revenue Officer

Innovyze announced Walter Palhentas joined the company’s leadership team as the chief revenue officer. With more than 25 years of experience, Palhetas brings extensive knowledge in leading global sales organizations in the technology space.

Prior to joining Innovyze, Palhetas was CRO at EON Reality Inc, leading global sales of the company’s augmented and virtual reality SaaS products. Preceding that, he filled the role of senior vice president of Global Sales at Impinj Inc. This led to Impinj’s IPO in 2016, only 15 months after Palhetas joined the company.

Biohabitats Appoints Senior Ecologist, Design Specialist

Ecological consulting firm Biohabitats Inc. welcomed Juan Rovalo to their team as senior ecologist and integrated design specialist. Rovalo will apply his expertise in ecologically-grounded regenerative design to the Biohabitats’ ecological planning and design projects throughout the Pacific Northwest region of the U.S. He will also help expand the firm’s reach internationally.

Prior to joining Biohabitats, Rovalo was the founder and principal of In Site, where he helmed numerous interdisciplinary ecological projects in eight countries over 15 unique ecoregions. Rovalo holds a B.S. in Biology from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and an M.S. in Biomimicry from Arizona State University.

Dewberry Appoints Branch Manager

Dewberry announced that David Tillar, P.E., has joined the firm as branch manager of the Pensacola, Fla., office. Tillar brings with him more than two decades of experience in surveying, utilities, land development, structural engineering and construction management. Since joining the firm, he has been involved in a water reuse project that will extend reclaimed wastewater for the purpose of irrigation to new development. Tillar earned a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the Virginia Military Institute (1995) and is an active member in the American Society of Civil Engineers.
