IECA's Environmental Connection 2013 is in full swing in San Diego as erosion control industry professionals have been taking advantage of the workshops, educational sessions and show floor over the past few days.
Budgets, as always, are at the forefront of attendees’ minds, and some have expressed concerns about the future cost of traveling tradeshows, despite the value they get from a show. One way to get the same experience—without having to pay for travel and other expenses—is through a virtual tradeshow, hosted entirely online but with the same quality of information and interaction as a physical tradeshow.
Storm Water Solutions is preparing to host its second-annual Virtual Expo on March 20, featuring live storm water and erosion control webinars that offer Professional Development Hours and showcase topics like green infrastructure and sustainable solutions for managing storm water. Also on the agenda are industry chat rooms that facilitate networking, as well as tradeshow exhibits with live interaction between attendees and exhibitors—all without having to get on a plane or even leave your office.
New this year is the Water & Wastes Digest Pavilion, featuring vendors and webinars highlighting municipal water and wastewater trends and technology developments.
It has been a pleasure meeting many of you this week at EC13, and I encourage you to register for the Storm Water Solutions Virtual Expo here.
