innovative technology—the Belted Silt
Retention Fence— offers a cost-effective
solution to controlling jobsite runoff. Its internal scrim negates the need for a traditional wire-backed, metal-post silt fence application, and it is installed on wood posts with bonding strips to prevent teardown. The fabric is a spunbond polyester material with a
fiberglass scrim or net sandwiched between the layers. With this process, the fabric and the screen become one
product. Meshing the support system with the fabric eliminates the problems of traditionally supported fence, where fabric separates from the supporting wire.
