The US Water Alliance announced the winners of the US Water Prize 2021, an annual award that recognizes people and organizations leading innovative approaches to water management and a more sustainable water future.
Dr. Lindsay Birt is featured as one of the eight recipients of the US Water Prize 2021, according to the Xylem press release.
According to US Water Alliance, Dr. Birt has extensive experience in digital intelligence for water and wastewater networks and water resource engineering. She currently serves as the Watershed Committee Chair and on the LIFT-Innovation Subcommittee Member for the Illinois Water Environment Association.
Dr. Birt completed a PhD in agricultural and biological engineering from Purdue University with an emphasis in environmental and natural resources engineering, and she holds an MS and a BS in biological and agricultural engineering from Texas A&M University.
